Algebra 2: Chapter 1 Test Review

For the first Algebra 2 test, you need to be able to...
  • Sec. 1.1: Use < and > to compare numbers.
  • Sec. 1.2: Name the squares, cubes, & powers of from 1 through 10 without a calculator.
  • Sec. 1.2: Use the order of operations to calculate answers.
  • Sec. 1.3: Simplify algebraic expressions (distribute, combine like terms).
  • Sec. 1.4: Solve equations (get x by itself!).
  • Sec. 1.5: Rewrite formulas (turn d = rt into t = d/r).
  • Sec. 1.6: Turn story problems into algebraic equations and solve.
The test will give more problems focused on simplifying expressions, solving equations, and rewriting formulas. The test will include one story problem.

You will complete this test without using a calculator.
